The Holy Spirit

This week's teaching is on the Holy Spirit. This was an awesome time last year during our training and it is proving to be an awesome week this year as well. This evening we will have a prayer service where there is a very strong liklihood that the Holy Spirit will show up and do some amazing things. Thank you Jesus for leaving the Holy Spirit with us.

I have to say that my understanding of the importance and power of the Holy Spirit is changing. I used to think of it as a nice-to-have sort of perk that went along with being a believer. I'm reassessing that. The other day I was teaching my children's bible class to them and it mentions the fact that the Holy Spirit contains the complete power of God. And if my memory serves me correctly, at the point of Salvation, we have that living inside us. I am humbled by the fact that I should not be living anything short of a victorious life with that kind of power within my reach, yet somedays I feel defeated.

Father, may I hunger and thirst for a deeper revelation and experience with your Holy Spirit.
