Standin' Next to the Mountain

As I write, we are excited about the prospect of going to Mexico to complete a Discipleship Trainins School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). There are so many obstacles, though, that from my viewpoint today, it seems impossible. We've had many showings at the house, but no offers yet. We've got a punch list a mile long of projects that need to be completed, and it seems as though we are standing at the foot of a mountain that will be impossible to climb. The one thing I'm sure of, is His unfailing love!

Let's pray! It's the name of a prayer group headed up by a friend. It's a 2 step program - 1) Show up...2) Pray! I've been meeting with these 3 Christian brothers every Wednesday evening for prayer and it's amazing how I have this perspective (being at the foot of an insermountable mountain) every Wednesday, but by Thursday, things look different. The biggest change, my reliance and trust in Him and not my own understanding of how this is all going to workout.

How often do I think I know what I need, I go to Him in prayer with my list, but the funny thing is, he knows the list better than I, He knows what I've forgotten and what is on my list that really doesn't need to be. What an amazing Heavenly Father we have!
